There is a particular song by Marilyn Manson that I like, it's called "The Fight Song"

The one thing that is offensive to me is the following in the song. It says "I'm not a slave to a god that don't exist"

I need to know what does religion say about it. I respect all religions. I need opinions on those lyrics from Christians, Muslims, Jews and also Hindus or others if possible. I am particularly seeking Christian, Muslim and Jewish perspectives on those lyrics. Would it be wrong to say or listen to that particular song, since I believe in God. I need serious answers. Thanks every one.

  1. pertsonally, i'm ....well, im mostly christian, mixed with different beliefs thrown in as well.

i always this lyric could for ANY religion. also, another way of looking at it, would see how this could apply to his meanings on how christians do things.

    this is a broad statement.

even if he meant God, that would stop me, as that's just his opinion.
