PLEASE READ EVERYTHING!

ok. so 2 years ago i finaly got a hair straightener and i used it 1-3x a day because i was bored.

but i only straightened the outer layer of my hair because i just assumed noone could see the inner layer

so i stopped straigghtening about a year ago because my hair was getting totaly fried

so the hair i had always straightened is fried but the inner layer is perfect.

so my question is, if i cut off most of the outer layer, will it grow back silky smooth like the inner layer?

im sorry if his is confusing.

my problem is i cant cut off too much hair and make it short. my hair is so thick and frizzy if it gets cut shorts it looks like this:

  1. get the outter layers split ends trimmed off [it might even give u layers] and use a moisturising or strengthening shampoo and conditioner

also using a leave in conditioner would work good

try using the Pantene products u can buy from like any drug store

    they work GREAT!

  2. Hi. So, I hate to be a downer but the inner layer of your hair is naturally going to be smoother and healthier because the outer layer is protecting it.

If you think about it, the outer layer is constantly facing the elements and you are also playing with the outer layer of your hair the most, causing split ends, etc. So even if you do chop off your outer layer of hair, it's never going to grow back as healthy as the inner layer.

But, if you do grow it out, I imagine it would be healthier. I would suggest just getting regular trims, using anti-frizz/conditioners, and only using your straightener on special occasions. Also, getting a high quality straightener could help. Salons often have hair products that can work wonders on frizzier hair, but it can get a little pricey...good luck!

  3. You could use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner to start with, then wait for your hair to grow out.  Most peoples' hair grows 6 inches in a year.   You could try getting extensions, but that's an expensive fix.  I wouldn't over wash it either, maybe every other day if that.  Keep it out of the sun for a good two weeks, and you can always spray on a shine spray or de-frizzer.

  4. um u could get hydrating stuff or when u straighten ur hair get VO5 extreme moisturizer
