Right i am doing an essay on Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and i am writing a sequel to the story any ideas on what i could write about, a few pointers that i can expand on?

Well, Lenny is dead but does the rabbit farm become a reality in his honor or does George just become a lonely  bum ranch hand  traveling from job to job cause everyone knows he killed his best friend but not why...You could write on how gossip gets things wrong because over time everyone develops his own version of what happened whether it is wrong or right and also how much he suffers mentally and emotionally over his friend's death long after the fact.

I am a teacher, and before you go ahead and create a sequel, perhaps it would be a good idea to ask your teacher if this is one of the options for an essay!  Usually an essay is your understanding of the story and the underlying message that was intended by the author.  In this case, Steinbeck, would be intrigued by the idea of writing a sequel, but is your teacher???  We see the characters as adults, perhaps rather than a sequel, how about a prequel (something about them as children, and why there is such a fierce loyalty between George and Lenny.)  Good luck with this project!

you could say lennie never died george felt bad and saved his life because he took him to the hospital and the whole sequel is about lennie and george on another adventure trying to run away from curley and the gang. :D i hoped that helped!
