Okay, so I have my Canon Powershot A530 handy, right? All the videos I upload work, but recently just two of them decided to c**p out on me. It says if I want to copy it when they're being uploaded, and then it says it doesnt work, that the file could be corrupted and all that jazz. I really need this video uploaded as soon as possible, so if you know anything I can do, please let me know as quickly as you can.

Thanks in advance~

  1. If your camera reads as removable drive on your computer. Right click on it & click on 'properties'. Then click on the tab tools. Then click on 'check now'. This will check the volume for errors & attempt to repair them. Anyway thats how you do it with windows xp. I'm sure its similar with Vista. And I would presume Apple has a similar process. If that doesn't work try the process using your memory card in a card reader. Good luck!!

  2. Yep on a mac try using "Disk Utility" in the Applications>Utilities folder to check if the drive/card is corrupted.

Otherwise you may have just lucked out during recording, catching a bad byte or something.  Unfortunately you're probably going to have a really hard time fixing it if it's already corrupted.

You could try shifting the memory card to another card reader incase it's the reader flaking out, but if it's happening in the same spot thats unlikely.

Sorry mate, good luck with it.
