I am looking at a Infinity 12D VG Kappa Perfect Sub. For this sub I need a 400 RMS with about a 1600W peak amp. I also need to keep to price down. Does anybody know of a good amp that I can use for this?

  1. Peak values dont mean anything,so dont even pay attention to that. You want an amp thats 400 watts rms and thats that. What is your budget? It hard to give u recommendations without knowing this.

  2. i would get a kicker 800.1, its a mono amp(1 channel) and puts out plenty of power

  3. Ignore having the 1600 peak because it doesnt mean anything.

    Go by RMS only!

    I own this amp:

    Rockford Fosgate Punch 325.1 MONO.

Ya it says 325RMS @ 2-ohm but once you look at the cea compliant test results sheet it clearly shows its actually 404RMS @ 2-ohm. This amp costs $150! I have had it for a while and never one problem. Gives good power and quality at a cheap price.

It is 400RMS guaranteed I can take a picture of the CEA shett if you'd like. Its an underrated amp.
