I need a 48" french style patio door with a 12" transom above to replace an existin door?

have been to lowes and home depot they cannot get the size i need the rough opening is 50"x96"

Look in the yellow pages for companies that replace glass in windows and doors (Not the ones that put in new windows).

Ummmm, what's the question? If you're asking where to go...Home Depot, the people in Mill Works can help you out. Did you check in stock or ask about special ordering? The on hand stock is usually quite limited. Be sure to ask a specialist. General employees, in my experience, just shrug you off because they don't know how to do a special order. I would call and ask to talk to a specialist or the department head. Even if they don't carry the exact size most doors can be custom cut to fit any opening.
