  1. those guys up above are right. don't send cash though. my luck is 50/50 on the two times i sent it. it put the kibosh on my daughters birthday one year.

  2. There is no postal code in Viet Nam. There is telephone code only.

    Country code: +84

    Hochiminh code: 08

  3. there is no code for district when u want send a letter to VN

u just need to write receiver's name, address ( numbers, street, ward, district, city, and Vietnam )

  4. why???

    there's no postal code there

is it for a visa or something?

  5. There is no postal code in Vietnam.

  6. I have a house in District 7 of HCMC. There is no postal code for District 7, HCMC or anyplace in Vietnam for that matter. Postal codes are a United States and Canada thing by the way.

To send mail or parcel to Vietnam, you need to address it as follows:

    Recipient's Name

    House number & Street

    District

    City, Vietnam

You can write it in English, but it is always best to write it in Vietnamese. Surprisingly, the postal service in Saigon is pretty good at getting mail to the proper recipient even with screwed up information.

If you ever get to visit District 7, there is a very good pizza joint a couple blocks off the main street.
