I need a KOREAN or someone that lived in KOREA...PLEASE! Very important!?

Question

Some Korean business men came to my country to hire models for their modeling agency...but I am not sure everything is legal... do you know WithStudios? they tell me is the most important publicity studio in Korea...could you go in their webpage www.withstudios.co.kr and tell me if you have seen people that is on the agency web page on tv? please help they pay really well and I really want to go but I want to make sure they wont do something else with me.... THANK YOU SO MUCH I WILL APPRECIATE IT A LOT

hi most of young korean can speak  English, so don't worry about any language problems : )  and s.korea is the safest cities in the world,  no gun,  no drugs , no slum.

and this web-cite is real, I read some of FAQ, and  Q &a board. this company manage to take a picture for good-looking ppl who want to be model or actor/ress.

so I guess that they want to take your pic for fashine magazine or cosmatic ad(?) .

but at least u should try to call them if they are supposed to send their staff to take u to s.korea. then make your decision.

First of all, the website is www.withstudio.co.kr, not withstudios.co.kr and to me, they look very genuine and trustworthy. I was bit confused with widstudio which deals with camcorder and camera =_=;. Ahem, anyway, since I'm not into modelling or anything, I can't tell you much about the company or those who associates with them, but the website seems genuine, supported by Mnet which is one of the most popular cable channel in Korea.

Furthermore, I just searched withstudio through few korean search engine, and there were few results that suggested to me that it isn't some sort of fraud if that's what you are afraid of.

I've also searched for images of withstudio and heres what I've got.

The picture of girl posing in different background and the name saying - 스튜디오 위드02 etc. seems like it's been taken in the studio.

In naver.com search engine, under that site, it states: the location of that studio, and says 'for those who desire career in entertainment etc., profile photo studio, profile photo, course photo.

So basically, it is a studio for those who desire career in the entertainment industry and wants their profile photo taken in the studio. Profile photo expert it says.

Finally, if you actually go into the site, many Korean celebrities actually went to that studio to take their photos.

EDIT: I also think kimkg is right. You have to make sure that they are from the company. I've heard so many stories about how these frauds pretends to be from famous recruiting company and just continues to ask money from you. Just be careful~ ^_^

I'm sure the company is a good company, but i would still be careful if I were you.

There's a chance they guys are just lying to you about being a part of the company, even if the company is legitimate.  I would try to contact to company and verify if those guys actually work for there.

And if this involves you moving to another country where you don't speak the language, I would definitely be careful.  Notify your local embassy, friends and family of your whereabouts.  Ask specific questions about where they're planing on taking you.  Make them aware that you need to stay in constant contact with your friends and relatives during your stay in wherever they want to take you.

IT's not that I've even heard of people being kidnapped in Korea, but I would exercise caution if any man from any nation made that kind of proposal to me.  I wouldn't accept any deal to go abroad unless it was with a company that I know well through personal connections.

it's not a modeling agency, but a photo studio!

& it is legal! it's call recruiting, and people do it all the time.

it might not be the most important, but it is very popular, and if they asked you to come and model for them for photos, then yes you should!
