Any new york state issue which i can research extensively will be great! Issues in upstate NY would be awesome!

Redevelopment of the air bases and surrounding communities devasted by the Clinton-era  BRACCs. Rome is still foundering, and Plattsburgh isn't doing a whole lot better.
