How can i get an US passport for my son that was born in Honduras?

I was born in US but i have a son that was born in honduras, how can I get a US social security number for him and a US passport?

You need to register his birth at the U.S. embassy in Honduras to document that he is a U.S. citizen before applying for a passport.  See site below.

Edit:  Just thought of something...if you are currently in the U.S. , you can use the 2nd site below to get info on registering the birth.

I believe if you are a U.S citizen, then your children are regardless of birthplace
