Question:

I need a beach recommendation for Nassau, Bahamas?

I'm taking a cruise and will be in Nassau for one day.

I've been to Atlantis on Paradise Island, but it costs $55 per person to use their beach if you're not a guest.

I like hotel beaches because they have the facilities, bar, food, etc. Nothing too remote. Any recommendations from first hand, recent experience out there?

  1. Cabbage Beach has no facilities or food.  Just a couple of guys hawking drinks from old milk jugs on the beach.

If you want a bar /grill and restrooms, head to either the British Colonial Hilton near the port (this is NOT a resort, but a small quiet business hotel on the harbour).. or take a cab or jitney(#10) to Cable Beach and go to the Wyndham.

Both hotels have day passes for $15 pp.

ALL beaches in the area are spectacular.  Cabbage has some wave action and can be rough at times.  Cable is usually calm and clear.

  2. definately cabbage beach its located on paradise island

  3. Go to Cabbage Beach.

Named one of the best in the world, Paradise Island's Cabbage Beach hosts several of the big hotels. Public access is on Casino Drive. The beach itself is a beautiful, wide stretch of white sand spanning about two miles of coastline. There are several places to rent watersports equipment, from jet skis to floats.

You can rent chairs (bargain price down) Be careful buying the expensive drinks, check out the little beach bar (cheaper drinks)

Good Luck and have a great time)
