Ok so my silly boyfriend doesnt want to admit that were both right for a bet. he already asked this question so this time im gonna word it my way. We have been fighting over what nails are made of. (the one who wins the bet gets something) He says nails are made of dead skin cells. I say its made of hair.

Hair is also made of dead skin cells so couldnt you say that nails are made of hair compressed together?

i say were both right but he thinks only hes right. i mean hair and nails are made of the exact same thing. so nails is just hair compressed together. Who is right. are we both right or is he right?

Well to tell you the truth he is right because nails are made of like 85% of dead cells and hair is made of about 15% of dead cells.So i would say he is more on the gold then you are.

Yes you are both Right. Nails are made of Protein and keratin(special protein). Keratin is in Hair.
