I got nothing as of right now. I have a cd player I got, and got a friend to install it. I do know someone who can wire it all for me. I just want to know what I will need? amp? subwoofer? I just need 12's... I don't need anything to expensive or big considering I am driving a Saturn. Nothing special. I am new to all this. so any help would be appreciated.

  1. Start here http://spkrbox1.spaces.live.com then ask tons of questions.

  2. What kind of amp you get depends on how powerful of subwoofers you want. Go to this website, www.millionbuy.com, and look through their list of subs. From there you can look at the prices and compare.  Just remember, when it comes to car audio, you get what you pay for.

  3. to start of its good to go with 2 12" type r

    rockford fosgate amps

    for voice alpine x speakers

    0 gage wireing

trust me you will like the sound.

and to go more powerful you just ask me and i will get you to be the loudest in your neighbor hood.

you will be one of a kind. good luck.

  4. if you are serious you need to look into at setup that has at least 400watts RMS

you need to stick with CEA-compliant brands- which means that the amps have been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle their advertised RMS wattage also (distortion is the main cause of speaker damage)

here are the top CEA-compliant brands

    Alpine (highly recommend)

    Bazooka (don't like their subs)

    Blaupunkt (don't like their subs)

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity (highly recommend)

    JBL

JL Audio (very good but over priced)

    JVC

    Kenwood (don't like their subs)

Kicker (the best in my opinion)

    Memphis

    MTX (highly recommend)

    Orion

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio (highly recommend)

    PPI

    Rockford Fosgate (highly recommend)

    Sony (don't like their subs)

you always get what you pay for, here is a nice setup (around $400)

these subs and box http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3867... with this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8651... or this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5027...

  5. You could go the way I went, I used Sony Xplod, you can get the stuff at wal mart, its cheap and its good enough to get ppls heads turning...
