I'm looking for a ridiculously fast bicycle available at Wal-Mart or Target that's under 80$. Anybody have any tips?

I borrowed somebodys 10-speed and I fell in love with it, and now i'm rideless.

  1. Look around for an older used bike.  Honestly, cruise some yard sales.  There are steel bikes out there that have been sitting in people's garages for years.  And check your local bike shop.  They may know of someone with a bike like this, and they may have taken a trade in.

No offense intended to you as you are sincere in your question, but In my experience, the words "ridiculously fast bicycle" and "WalMart or Target" are not uttered in the same breath.

  2. I got a tip for you: If the Jehovah's Witnesses come to your door, turn off the lights pretend you're not home.

  3. it's a shame you live in the u.s. ,i live in the u.k. and know a few scrap dealers,i would have sold you one for 40 pounds ($80) cos i re-condition them at home, you would be amazed at what i get for nothing! mk3 raleigh chopper in mint condition, saracen xile in near mint condition, claud butler trials bikes,gt aggressor 2.0,like the guys say, snoop around and you never know what you might find.try e-bay for bikes with no reserve, you can grab some absolute bargains!! happy riding. :)

  4. Look for racer bikes at bike shops. Not at Wal-Mart nor Target. For under $80 you better off looking for used bikes.
