I need a butter substitute?

I'm baking brownies but, I forgot margerine at the store. I heard you could you use applesauce but, I am already using applesauce for an egg replacer. What do I use?

  5. Do you have Crisco? Crisco and water can replace butter in recipes. (The proportions are on the side of the tub.)

  6. yes, you can use applesauce, but i wouldnt in this situation....Vegetable oil will do fine this time :)

  7. I use soya spread or margarine or canola spread. There are heaps non dairy options.
