  1. You need a firewire cable. (Sony calls it I.LINK.)

  2. Use Firewire.

Every editing program (including Windows Movie Maker and iMovie) is built for capturing video from your camcorder through Firewire directly into the editing program.

This is the easiest and most trusted way to get video copied to your computer in the best quality possible.

    * You will want to get an external USB hard drive for storing your video capture files and saving your new movies from editing.  They come in many different sizes and prices.   Digital video requires a lot of room, so a 500gb drive available for $100 is recommended.

  3. go to best buy they should have it

    it's probably a USB

but tell them the brand and they'll help you

  4. ew

  5. your camera can support USB, ilink(firewire/IEEE 1394a), and HDMI.

ilink is sony's term for firewire/1394a

HDMI is the fastest, but the capture card is expensive (like 400 dollars).

    USB is slow

Firewire is the best, it's much faster than usb, and cheaper than an HDMI capture card
