I need a camera made for photography!

Question

My birthday is coming up and I have decided I want a camera for my birthday! I'm really into photography and need a good quality camera made just for that! I heard that Cannon cameras are good, but I also wanted to be able to put different types of lenses on it like a fish-eye and stuff like that.

So what I need you to do is find me an amazing camera for photography!

If possible I also want like a set of different lenses for my camera! (I don't really want to buy them separately.)

P.S This is a 14th birthday so not to expensive.

A really nice, inexpensive camera is the Canon 590 IS. It runs about $150, but for the money, you get a camera that has lots of features and manual controls that many more expensive cameras do not have. It also has Image Stabilization.

You cannot do any better than the Nikon D40.  It costs under $500 and includes a great lens.  Itis the least expensive dSLR camera available, and one of the very best in the low price range.  Cannon makes a great product too, but for quality and economy, I'd go Nikon.  Nikons are excellent cameras.

If you want a camera for photography, you may want to get a nice used Nikon or Canon 35 mm SLR with lens craigslist has them for under $200.   I say Nikon and Canon because they have the most used lenses available and are used by the pros.

How expensive is not too expensive?    For a really good one, You are talking about $400+ and that's without any lenses!   You can get some pretty decent ones in a point and shoot type for $200. or less.  I have an A80. It's a few years old now and at the time it was $279. but they have come down a lot in price. Mine has 11X zoom and 4 megapixels.  I would look for something with 8 megapixels or higher now.  If you want to see what my camera can do, I can email you photos to see the quality for even a point and shoot camera.  What camera have you had previously?  I would take some steps up, but not worry about the high end attachments and other cool stuff.  If you could swing it, this would be a good one for you.  http://www.bestpricecameras.com/prodetai...

I'm going ot college for photography and I'm getting a Cannon for my 18th bday.I've looked and looked for the cheapest find and I hate to tell you this.Proffesional cameras like you are talking are not cheap no matter where you look.You can always look on Ebay.Sometimes you can find cameras with the lenses at one price however i doubt you are going to find any under 400 dollars,if you are talking about having optional lenses with it..I found some cheaper ones there.New Lenses can go up to 1,000 and higher.Cannon is an amazing camera.Just search around stores for deals and look on ebay and sites that sell used cameras.Used is the cheapest you will find.
