  1. www.computer for kids

  2. leap frog brand or v tech don't get him a actually computer he is to young. my daughter is the same age and she has the leap frog she loves it she is learning alot.

  3. hmm if you wanna get him an actual computer get whatever one is cheapest at walmart. but please dont let him sit at the computer all day everyday.

but at walmart in the kids section they have little kid laptops kinda like vtech but their different i saw some girl ones they other day their brats. i'm pretty sure they have boy ones too.

but on these ones you can learn your number, letters, shapes, and a few other things, and it does some spanish lessons as well=]

  4. Dell is cheap but not a good brand, mac is some what expensive but by far definitely the best computer system for a family i would recommend the mac book it is a sim laptop that has a built in camera and lots of fun applications for young children but is also efficient for adults or teens that need to work and/or make documents or presentations. But the mac is not good for projects in Middle school unless you have Microsoft word and other such applications that you will need to buy which are expensive.

  5. If you go to Toysrus, they have Laptops for kids, that are already loaded with games etc, but they are much too advanced for a 3 year old. They are about $40. (Our friends kids have one and it's great for kids ages 5 and up)

We tried the V-Tech, as another person suggested. Our son absolutely hated it and never used it. We have a WII. He loves that, and it connects to the internet, but not a really great way of getting online.

If you mean that you are wanting to buy a real computer, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Dell. My husband is in the computer industry and all of the computers in our house are Dell brand.  If you are looking to buy a cheap second hand computer, go to Craigslist for your area / look in the classifieds in the paper. Another thing you can do is to to Staples and places like that on the first day of the month.  They often sell off the stuff that they have had out on display on the shelves.

If I were you, I would definitely go with the real computer for your child. There are so many great websites, but you do have to watch them. There's  pbskids.org, playhousedisney.com, sprout.com, mynoggin.com, fisherprice.com. Thanks to the fisher price website, my son knew all his alphabet, shapes and colors by the time he was 2.

  6. I hope you mean a learning computer in which case I recommend a VTECH learning computer. If you mean a real computer which I hope you dont, get him a Dell.
