I need a closer!?

Question

I am one of the league leaders in wins, era, whip and strikeouts, but I am last in saves! Which player can I get to help my saves problem and who shall I drop?

From the list you gave I would pick up Borowski. Fat Joe is the only one of those guys in the closer spot. Gagne is on the DL and Torres has pitched great in his absence, so don't expect Gagne to return to the closer role. Don't be scared of Fat Joes' current ERA of 8.18, most of those runs came before he got hurt. Since coming off the DL he has an ERA of 2.57 and 3 for 3 in save oppurtunities.

Another interesting pickup could be Joel Zumaya. He will be activated from the DL on Friday. He won't be getting any save oppurtunities, but how much longer can the Tigers stick with Todd Jones at closer, with a 4.10 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and only 10 K's in 27 IP.

I would drop Franklin, since he will move back to the setup man, Wellemeyer ( only if his elbow injury becomes serious), or Campillo.

If your league is even remotely as competitive as mine is there probably isn't much out there right now. The only player that comes to mind at the moment Morrow in Seattle. Otherwise keep an eye on injuries or consecutive blown saves. G Luck

Look for brandow morrow-new closer for the mariners, and drop wainwright, he could be out for a while with that elbow. Good Luck.

get gagne and dump the highest E R A guy even if gagne is high now he will get better as the year gets older

have you looked at all of these guys yet, not one sticks out at me,

eric gagna is out for the season,  i would go for manny acosta i say that i have heard of him but dont know how he is doing this year.
