I need a comparison of an object that is 3000 pounds per square inch?

I am trying to compare what is "acceptable" in ASTM Standards to 3000 psi. For instance, if a walnut is 3000 psi, it would meet the criteria of ASTM standards that a BRICK would need to be. I am trying to argue that the ASTM standards are well below what is needed for a quality product.
