I need a copy of my 2007 1040a tax return form for school but cannot find it anywhere. I filed with Jackson Hewitt. Does anyone know if I could go back there and get a copy from them?

  1. Jackson Hewitt should be able to reprint the form, but I don't know whether you'd need to return to the particular office that prepared it.

They may charge you a reprint fee.

Or, you can go to an IRS office, and file a form 4506-T for the transcript, if it was long enough ago that it's processed.

  2. Get a copy for free through the IRS:

Request transcripts by calling 1-800-829-1040, or order by mail using IRS Form 4506T (Request for Transcript of Tax Return).   We do not charge a fee for transcripts.   Allow two weeks for delivery.
