I need a cultural artifact!?

For my speech class we have to choose a cultural artifact that is important to our culture and to us. Im going with my mexican culture because that's what I am predominately. The thing is I have no idea what to choose.

Pick something that's unique to the Mexican culture. Such as clothing, songs, poems, art, food.  I had to something like that for one of my classes and being of Italian descent I brought in a tray full of Italian pastries.

you should hire a mariachi band ( the mexican bands that play in restaurants) you could ask them to play your class a song. music is a big part of mexican culture. you would defintly get an A as a grade, you could present a certain musical instrument as a historical artifact.

You can choose a motar and pestle, or a tamale steamer.  A cultural artifact is anything that originates from a given culture and that can be left in the archeological record.  A griddle pan, Anything to do with preparing traditional food is an easy answer.

If you are Mexican, think about some of the things you may have lying around the house.  Do you have anything that you got from your grandparents for example?  If so, talk about that item and what it means, etc.  Do you have artwork, souvenirs or pottery?
