  1. In our parenting group we have daily questions and advice from parents that me be of some help.

  2. Having a set routine will not only help you...it will help your children. When kids know the order of things they are more well adjusted. Make a schedule of your chores. This has helped me so much when I became overwhelmed with all the work a stay at home Mom does.

Also with a schedule you will be less stressed and the kids will feel that too.

Don't forget to schedule in time for them AND time for you. Not just chores.

  3. Get up maybe an hour b4 kids. shower have your time. feed kids etc clean after brekkie while kids watch tv, play we.

get som quik simple meal recepies. even a slow cooker/ crocpot so your dinner cooks away all day.

make a list the night b4 (have some chamomile tea whilst)

of all the stuff that NEEDS to be done part from the obvious.

and put times next to it like    7am Shower and read book.

7.15 put a load of washing on.

read book til kids wake at 8 and start brekkie

maybe allocate a day for each cleaning act. wash clothes Mon, tue scrub kitchen etc.

hope this gives you some ideas n help

  4. Wake at 6 or 6:30 and take a shower, enjoy a cup of coffee to yourself

6:30 or 7 am, kids get woken up for school, etc.

    7:30 or 8 Breakfast

4 y/o to school, have playtime  or take a gymboree or music class with the 3 y/o and 7 mo old

10 am--7 mo old goes down for a nap, up by 11, 3 y/o gets snack

    12 pm lunch

1 pm naptime for 3 y/o and 7 mo old (clean, laundry, nap yourself, etc)

    2:30 everyone is up

    p/u 4 y/o

head to the park, library, or do a project, etc. with a snack

    5:00 dinner

    6:00 bath

    6:30 quiet play time

7:30 bedtime for the 7 mo old

    8:00 bedtime for the 3 y/o and 4 y/o

Alone time for Mommy to clean or relax

I'd suggest that on Sundays, you buy food for the week and prepare as much of it while Daddy or Grandma sits with the kids--clean and chop your fruits and veggies, boil your pasta, etc. Store it all in containers so it's easier during the week

If everything is picked up as you go along, there'll be less cleaning to do at once, so it'll take less of your time with your kids and yourself :-)

I'd designate one household chore a week to a day during nap time--

Monday-every other week the tub and toilets get scrubbed, the floors the opposite week

    Tuesday-dusting

    Wednesday-glass/mirrors

    Thursday-de-clutter

    Friday-Vacuuming

I also make it a point to do laundry as it comes up so it's less to do at once.

  5. ok here's my idea

    6am: wake up, get dressed

    6:30: start breakfast

    7:00 get kids up

    7:10 get kids to eat

    7:20 get kids dressed

7:30 leave kids in closed off area (such as a crib) while you  shower

7:45 collect kids and help little 4 year old get ready for school.

    8:00 leave for school.

*whenever you get back* hang with your kids. play games, read stories, etc...

9 put kids down for a little snooze. do whatever cleaning needs to be done

    10:30 get small snack ready

    10:40 wake up kids

    10:45 feed kids

    11-12 playtime

    12 lunch

    1 naptime

    2 bathtime

    3 snack

    3:30 outside play

    4:30 inside play

  6. You have the hardest job in the world and from experience I find routines are hard to keep, I used to try and get all household chores done as soon as I got up in the morning, and everyday would do one major chore, like vacuum, clean bathrooms etc....nothing ever works as planned so dont stress about it.

You dont say if you have a partner, but if so, ask him to watch the kids for two hours a week, so you can have alone time, even if its to sit in the tub and read a book, it really helps.

    Good luck, enjoy every minute.
