  1. the draw string just serves to tighten your shoe around your foot to give you a better fitting shoe. with out it you may find that your shoe might get a little loose and gape at the sides of your foot but then again you might not have a problem. the only thing that i can suggest is to either feel carefully along the top of your shoe to feel where it is and try to move it back or to actually undo all the stitching along the top of your shoe where the draw string is, readjust it and then resew it again. its a tricky thing.

for future reference once you have had your shoe fitted you shouldn't have to adjust the draw string again (be it pointe or flat). so once you have adjusted it when you first get them tie a double knot, then do the bow and tuck them in. that way if your bow comes undone you won't lose the tie or your shoe won't become loose. happy dancing and good luck!

  2. It connects in the back. Once you dig it out, try with a safety pin, tie the knot, then cut the ends off. Double knot it so they wont go back in if youre having problems with it.

  3. u dont need it!
