I'm going to Europe in a few weeks and I'm looking for a FANTASTIC digital camera. I want one that I can use forever. I had my last digital camera for 5 years and it took terrible pictures - very unclear. I want a camera that takes clear and fantastic images.

What digital camera would you suggest?

I was looking into the Panasonic Lumix. But, I'm not quite sure. Could you help?

Also, it must be under $1000.

Thanks!

  1. One place you could go to (if your in Australia)is Harvey Norman, they have Canon Cameras, they are good cameras.

You can get one with 7.1 megapixels.

  2. I know someone who uses cannon sure shot and he takes great pictures when he does his mountian climbing.

This is his website if you like to see some of his pictures from his climbing trips.

www.rickkent.com,  he gives the type of camera that he used for these photo's.

He has some fantastic pictures of scenery.

    Good luck!

  3. For under $1,000? You could get the Canon Sxi for about $830 on Amazon.com,  or the Nikon D60 for about $615. Either way, you end up with a top notch, entry level D-SLR camera. Personally , I would choose the Canon Xsi over the Nikon D60, but that's just me. Both are great cameras...

  4. Go with the Panasonic FZ18

  5. www.outofthisworldmagic.net has some nice ones
