I need a diploma. Will James Madison schooling at home give me accredited diploma for the military?

  1. You only need a homeschool diploma for the military.  Check out hslda.org for more information on military enlistment for homeschoolers.


  2. Check with your recruiter, but I know that the Air Force accepts home schoolers with a diploma produced by the parent. Just be sure to keep a transcript with classes you have completed and name of courses and books you have used.

    We have already asked this question of my daughters recruiter, but all branches may be different.

  3. I have talked to Marine and Army recruiters and they both said that my home-school diploma must be state certified. I don't know about Will James Madison but I use SOS (switched-on schoolhouse; on-line) and I was told that I needed a GED to get into the Military. However, no one but your recruiter can correctly answer your question with 100% certainty. I decided to go back to public high school since then. Maby you should do the same if possible. Hope this helps.
