  1. That has to be a beagle. They come in three standard sizes so you can choose how big or small a dog you want. They have very even temperments are generally jovial attitudes. Most small or toys breeds dont want to or physically cant put up with childrens rough play. A beagles muscular build make him an exception to this rule. They would be ctrong enough to rough house with the older kids and small enough not to knock over the younger ones.

Of course like any breed there are things to concider. Beagles need exercise, not excessive amounts but a few good romps in the yard or brisk walks a day. You cant have a beagle off leash ever. They will follow their nose. I would advise getting the pup micro chipped incase he escapes. Then there are vet bills, beagles are fairly hardy, but things happen, and the cost to feed him. Plus the time to socialize and train him. Adopting an older beagle or beagle mix pup from a rescue organization is a much better option for busy parents. The dog should be housetrained and have basic obediance already. Saving you a lot of time. Plus the organization usually has an idea of how well the pup is with children

  2. A Bic hon Frise would be a dog that you definitely would want to have.  Their energy level would match that of your children.  They are intelligent and born entertainers.  My Bella is just a puppy & she taught herself to stand on

just her hind legs and  "dance" across the kitchen floor.  They are non-allergenic and they do not shed!  Great watchdog pound for pound.

    Good luck.

  3. We have two s**z tsu's   one puppy and a one year old. We also have a 7 year old. They are all great together. These dogs are small and just love people..they are lap dogs...but playful when you want them to be

  4. best dog ever = cockapoo!

  5. pug x beagle mix (puggle). My mom has one and the thing it wants most in the entire world is a little boy of her own. She is obessed with small children.

  6. my papillon loves kids.

i've heard that westies are good family dogs.

  8. Golden Retreivers Are Really Friendly.. Their Puppies Are ADORABLE!! But They Grow!      Still, when they grow they  r really friendlyy!!

i dnt knw if it is costly or  not!

  9. I think you should get a pomeranian. I had one and he was very gentle with my kids.

  10. Probably the friendliest breed that I know of are King Charles Spaniels, also known as Cavaliers. They will greet anyone and other dogs without being overly excitable, and they are very affectionate and enjoy a cuddle on your lap.

Really, your choice of breed should depend on what you mean by "good with kids", and what breed would suit your circumstances and lifestyle. But in terms of friendliness and affection, you cannot beat a Cavalier.

  11. What information can you provide us with? How long is the dog going to be left alone, how old are the children, fenced in yard, are you an active family, how often are you home, what is your base income, etc etc etc?.

Many small dogs are great with children, but many small dogs have high energy levels and require a lot of attention and exercise, others require very little exercise.

The more information you give us the better we can help you.

ADD> All dogs are costly. Just like a child, as you're experienced. Dogs typically cost between two and five thousand dollars in the first year alone, WITHOUT paying for the dog itself. From there you have yearly vet visits, check ups, grooming, training, ect.

  12. Pugs are adorable and they are very gentle

  13. The only major concern with small dogs and kids, is if the kids drop the dog or sit on it. The dog would be seriously hurt or killed.

    I recommend pugs!
