Teens stay in the ocean all day: surfing, water boarding, etc. They rub their eyes and cheeks...and all sunscreen comes off, giving them a bad burn every day we go to the beach. Help!!! Any suggestions? Any surfers out there?

  1. Plain old zinc oxide on my nose and under my eyes.

  2. A really great sunscreen that is all natural and highly water resistant is TruKid Sunny Days face stick. It's SPF 30 so it protects from burns, and since it's in a stick it's really easy to apply, especially for kids and teens. It lasts all day; the other day I put it on my shoulders and went bike riding for 6 hours and not even a slight sunburn appeared! My whole family uses it and loves it. The smell is light and citrusy, rather than the normal "sunscreen" smell. I'd recommend it to anyone!

  3. absolutely headhunter...they make a type that you can see (doesn't rub in clear) so you know where you put it and where it's been rubbed off.

  4. get a water proof sun block-- this ones ok--http://www.americarx.com/Products/32472....

  5. Megan Gale , invisible zinc.. do you no how good this S*it is aye . . i am a surf life saver and i use it everyday on the beach. and it doesnt get into your pores .. it is very good , but may be a little costly.

any wya .. hope it help.. it doesnt get me burnt at all and im on the beach for hours at a time. and it doesnt wash off at all..! even in chlorine it doesnt and when your always wiping your face . . . it just stays (y)

  6. The best sunscreen that I use is called Headhunter. Hands down, its the best. Its excellent, but hard to find outside of surf shops. For the face, try using Zinka. If you have young kids, they'd definately love it. Its a thick sunscreen (its Zinc Oxide), comes in about ten different colors, and it stays on very well. If I'm out for a six hour sesh, its what I use and it has never failed. Zinka also makes a clear sunscreen, which is also good, but I use Headhunter all over, except when I use zinka on the face.

Both are available on the internet:

    www.zinka.com

    www.headhuntersurf.com/

    Edit*

Actually, headhunter makes both the type that rubs in as well as the type that doesn't. And, after checking their website recently, they also have a zinc oxide face sunscreen called War Paint, however I have not used it and it is plain white, which might not be as interesting to younger kids as the Zinka colored one's are.
