I would really like something that is easy to put together, and especially to *clean up* as I have a group of about 40 for a 30 minute period and another storytime group scheduled right after.

  1. try this web it has a lot of crafts:

  2. making crowns using construction paper and glue sticks

or make a big shoe and print out pictures of children (like ginger bread cookie outlines for boys and girls) - let each kid color in thier kid and draw the clothes on them and then tape all the children onto the shoe (little old lady who lived in a shoe)

  3. Cinderella - make the pumpkin carriage

  4. You did not specify whether you were looking for free items or to purchase items.

On yahoo auctions I have several items that are Fairy themed and are great learning items for kids.

If you have any questions let me know.

  5. My 5 year old daughter just had a "princess tea party" birthday - her godmother bought these cardboard, swords (for boys) and wands (for the girls) - they were white, and they colored them & glued "jewels", lace, and ribbons on them for a great activity.  She bought them at Oriental Trading Company (address:  http://www.orientaltrading.com/ )

  6. Try one with Prince Charming.......

  7. Get out paints and fun stuff that kids like to play with. Sure it's a little messy, but hey it's fun! plus I have a four year old sister, and we buy her eatable paint in case she is a little hungry for a snack jk but it is safer. Also you should read something like cindrella or Rumpeltstilskin or however it's spelled. Let the kids do finger painting, but be sure to get some smocks and easles! Also split them up in groups so you don't need as many easles.
