Question:

I need a full-ride+?

I'm going into my senior year in high school. I have a 32 on my ACT. I've taken it twice - the second time without a calculator - and gotten a 32 both times. I plan on retaking it until I get a 34. My weighted GPA is 4.15, unweighted it's 4.0. I'm currently ranked #1 in my class, and hope to graduate as valedictorian. When I say I need a full-ride+, I mean that I need a full-ride plus money back to buy college essentials like a laptop, etc. I'm hoping to attend Bellarmine University in Kentucky [I live in KY], and major in accounting. Can anyone tell me about any lesser-known scholarships that I qualify for? [They can be need or merit based.] Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. If you already know what college you're going to and what you're going to major in, I would really recommend going to your college's financial aid department and talking to someone face-to-face or over the phone if you're not going to be visiting campus anytime soon. They are in the best position to help you, since they have access to all kinds of odd scholarships and school scholarships.

Bellarmine is a private university, so tuition is much much higher than if you went to a public university in-state. If you absolutely need to be able to go to college for free, I would check out public universities. They can save you thousands and thousands of dollars per semester on tuition. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, just in case you don't get everything covered at your dream school and can't afford it. (Although with your grades and test scores, you've probably got it made.)

Just in case if you haven't checked it out already:

  2. You can try to go to

    http://www.all-about-scholarship.com

    it's about scholarships information.

    Good luck
