  1. I suggest get something from The Importance Of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. It has a reputation of being the best classical comedy.

    There's quite a few female characters you can choose from:

    Gwendolen, Cecily, Lady Bracknell, Miss Prism

    I personally love Lady Bracknell and Gwendolen's lines.

    You can find free scripts in the internet.  


  2. Yes, I agree that "Earnest" is a good choice, if you want a younger role try Cecily or Gwendolyn. I just finished playing Lady Bracknell and it was a blast! Also try "Pygmalion" by George Bernard Shaw, it is the play that My Fair Lady is based on and the scene where Eliza has a hissy fit after the ball is one of my favorites.

    Break a leg at your audition...and if you get brave, audition for Wendy too!
