Question:

I need a good, not too expensive drum set?

I already looked on craig's list...

ok so I want one that is 5 piece and good for playing rock/metal type of music and my budget is no more than 600$... Including cymbols, so I either need an inexpensive shell pack so I can afford cymbals or a set that comes with them...

Any suggestions (specific set please)?

  2. check your local classified in the papers. go to auctions and flea markets. i have a friend whose wife makes a decent living doing her homework and making great purchases on ebay and  at flea markets. craigs list is also good but sometimes you can`t find exactly what you are looking for.

  3. If you're looking for a new set (not a used one), then the low-end Ludwig set is good.  You'll have to change the skins from the super-cheapo ones that come with it, but the results will be very satisfactory.  You might also look at the Pearl Export set -- it used to come with all the hardware and cymbals.  I bought one for about $500 new a few years back.

  4. LOVE DRUMS! hmm... try this website if you like any...
