  1. To be honest, the easiest and delicious thing you can do is just add a bottle of your favorite bbq sauce...

You can play around with adding white vinegar, brown sugar and mustard to adjust some more to your liking.

  2. INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

    1 1/2 cups ketchup

    1/4 cup packed brown sugar

    1/4 cup red wine vinegar

    2 tablespoons prepared Dijon-style mustard

    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

    1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

In a large bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, Dijon-style mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke. Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. Barbecue Beef for us.

    Ingredients

    1 lbs roast beef

    1 cup.        catsup

1 tbsp       each brown sugar, chopped green pepper

    1/2 tbsp.      brown mustard

    1/2 tbsp       lemon juice

    1/8 lb.        chopped onion

    2 tbsp        water

    1/2 cup       chopped celery

    1/2 tbsp      white vinegar

    Directions

Add all  ingredients to beef in large pot and stir to combine.  Simmer on low for 2 hours.  Add more water if mixture is too thick for your taste.  Serve on your choice of bun.

    Makes about 5-6 servings.

  4. If you like a vineagary sauce, use the first one.  A sweeter one, use the last one.

    My Barbecue Sauce

    1 cup cider vinegar

    ½ cup honey

    2 cups brown sugar

    2 cups ketchup

    1 Tbsp. fresh garlic

    ¼ cup onion powder

    1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce

    1 cup yellow mustard

    1 Tbsp. soy sauce

    2 tsp hickory smoked salt

Combine all ingredients in crockpot.  Cook covered on LOW heat for 2 hours.  Uncover and cook 1 more  hour.  Stir occasionally.   Store in the refrigerator.
