I need a good book, any suggestions?

Question

I want something with interesting characters and a deep plot. I like most types of books, fantasy, science fiction, almost anything is good. The only thing I really don't want a teenage love story, and that includes Twilight, and any of the books in that series. I hate them.

Thanks, I just want to read something before school starts.

You want something deep, try LA Banks slayer series. Excelant! Something with a involves world, but not quite so deep, try Kim Harrison. Stand alone series w/ very involves world and character, try the dark hunter series by Sherilyn Kenyon. Need more, email me at [e-mail]

Cannery Row   by John Steinbeck

Talk about characters  that are real,  and fun.

Read the book  completely   it is a short paper back

Then see how the  Movie  destroyed the book.

Try reading Diana Wynne Jones' work.  She is in fantasy/sci-fi.  Also try Madeleine L'engle.
