i want to read a good book. and no matter how many times i search on amazon or look around at barnes and noble or just search around on answers i never find a book interesting to me.

ive already read all the books in the twilight series.

i want a book that is gripping, inspirational or just good.

i want a book that will make me think and have

a profound change on me or my ideas.

i don't want just another teen book or a cliched book that woman like to read in the bath tub (nothing against woman's literary choices i just don't want a flaky book)

a classic book would be okay

im a good reader so a challenging book is okay.

help!

Sometimes when I'm looking for a good new book to read I'll search the best sellers lists online.  :)

  7. My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.

    I love her books.

Also, I like Dan Brown books.  Have you read all of them?  They're all equally gripping.

  8. Because you said you're willing for a challenge academically and mentally............

Academic: "The Fountainhead" and "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand; "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver

Simply entertainment: "The Shining" and "The Stand" by Stephen King; and because you like "Twilight", here's an upgrade: "Interview With A Vampire" by Anne Rice. Oh, and of course if you haven't read "Harry Potter," read it! (I have a bit of a soft spot for that series).

But my number one suggestion is "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. I just read it recently. It's short, right to the point, and just so.........scary. Not, perhaps, in a thriller-movie kind of way, but because it's about a post-apocalyptic America. Everything in the news I just think, "it's like 'The Road' AAAHHH!" If you get that book, don't read any spoilers about it!

  9. Plum Island by Nelson Demille is action packed and suspenseful as are many of his others. Plum Island is unique in my mind an easy enjoyable read. One of the few books I have read more than once.

Two others that come to mind are "The Alienist" and "The Angel of Darkness" by Caleb Carr Both are masterpieces in my opinion.

For older books you should sometime read something by Raymond Chandler one of America's best ever writers. Choose any from the following

    The Big Sleep

    Farewell, My Lovely

    The High Window

    The Lady in the Lake

    The Little Sister

    The Long Goodbye

My fav is The Little Sister

  10. the book Deception Point by Dan Brown is really good. it really gets you thinking and makes you want to keep reading

  11. Have you ever thought of the purpose of your life? Have you wonder why you are born to your parents? What are the gifts that you inherited from them? Why are you such a good reader? What can you do with your gift?

WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR???

Perhaps these are the books that you should be looking at. The challenge will not be how fast you read it but how much you can perceive and get out of the book. Challenge in life changing experience.

My 1st recommendation is The Purpose Driven Life by Dr Rick Warren. There after, you will know what are the books that follow without the need to ask.
