I need a good first car?

i really want a coupe style two door with atleast 25 miles per gallon i don't care how powerful the engine is right now i have a limit of 2500$ to buy one and then after that i'll work on it i want the body like that then im gonna fix it myself with what ever i want(but it needs to have everything needed to run it first because this is a long project)

Erm, Volvo 245? Boxy, sure, but It's a "3-digit car".(meaning it costs less than 1 k. And, if that doesn't work, I think. Or try a Merc. Cheap one, of course.

Ps- Need to know how old you ar.

If you are going to Mod it yourself, you have quiet a few options in Coupe Range. But the budget is bit constraining. Try these in your area.

Pontiac Trans AM

Pontiac Sunfire

Hyundai Accent.
