I need a good gospel song for my vocal range..help!!?

Question

Anyone know any good gospel songs to sing... contemporary or traditional. I sing mostly classical and opera I'm a high soprano in classical music up to a high C. I sing r&b too but lower (alto) because I don't want to belt out my voice but I'm having trouble finding a song for my voice. Smokie Norful fits my voice wonderful. Any suggestions on songs by Smokie Norful or any artist with the same voice range as him?

Check out some of Jessye Norman's gospel/spiritual stuff.   She's a soprano opera singer, and you may be inspired by some of her work.  I believe she and Kathleen Battle have done some spiritual/gospel recordings.

I would check any of Sandi Patty's older repertoire in the original key.  She still sings them but her newer things are a bit lower.  Some will go up to Db!

I don't see a lot of soprano and gospel going together.  Unless you go into today's modern pop music.  It is also hard to say because you didn't list what kind of program you were singing for.  However, there is a beautiful gospel song that would sound good if you were a lyric soprano.  "Were you there when they crucified my Lord?"  It, like most gospel music, follows a great tune and does not jump around too much, giving you the opportunity to shine.  

Also, it is rare enough that you wont have your audience going; "heard that done before!"
