I need a good idea for a college research paper. Something very unusual any ideas?

I am getting ready to graduate college in May and I have this one english class left and the major paper is a research paper. I want to write about something different, something that is just going to blow away the professor when she reads it. Anyone have a suggestion for an unusual topic?

Since this is for an English class, I would do a paper that is socially relevant. Everyone knows that English Professors are conscious of social issues, and respect a student who embraces a cause at such a young age. I would do a paper on a subject such as the declining state of mental health care. There is a wealth of information. Just google NAMI, and you'll find most of the research is at your fingertips. Follow links to other sites for different perspectives. Be sure to include topics such as the impact of deinstitutionalization on the mentally ill, the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of brief therapy, and the ongoing struggle for mental health parity in health care delivery. You can pick any topic you want, but this is a good one.

I would also get Stylease. It is a software program that professionally formats your paper and saves a lot of time. If you can't find it, I would be happy to show you how to get it.

I am retired, and do not have a lot to do. English has always been my favorite subject, and I have written many papers for myself, and others. I would never think of charging you for any help I give. I just care about proper English, and believe you judge a person's intelligence by the way he or she communicates in writing.

i did a college research paper on schizophrenia and it was so interesting but the teacher said the topic was not specific enough so if you choose this topic try to focus on one area such as delusions or a specific type rather than the big topic i picked. good luck!
