never had a vodka mojito...but my rum based recipe is usually a success but its strong-ish....3 parts rum, 1 part simple syrup, 1 whole mint leaf (crushed/mulled), lime wedge.  Then add sprite/7up to taste to make it weaker if necessary.

don't think its a mojito without rum

likely would be called a lime & mint martini or something with vodka

my recipe:

few sprigs of mint, couple of tablespoons of sugar in a glass and muddled together

add lime wedges and muddle again

add club soda and rum
