Question:

I need a good quote to end my literary piece, about my transition as a writer...?

Like I said, I'm looking for a good quote that I could put at the end of my literary piece. It's about my development as a reader and writer. I was aiming towards using Dr. Seuss' "Always do what you want, and say how you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." because my paper is very rooted in finding myself through music and arts, and being myself, but I wanted to explore my options first.

Does anyone have any idea what a good quote that's at least slightly relevant would be?

Thanks.

  1. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.    Aristotle

My favorite is advice to a young would be writer from Noel Coward>  You want to be a writer, Write.

  2. I think you should go with Dr. Seuss. Sounds first-rate.

Here's one from an author I like...

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

    -Kurt Vonnegut

...and one from an author I don't particularly like (but I like the quote).

Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.

    -C. S. Lewis

  3. try this...

each and every step I walk through the pages of my life I am exactly where and what I need to be to continue my creativity.

good luck with whatever you choose.
