You can not do this in any reliable way.  You become a gambler when you allow another human being into your home.  Some just drink your milk and eat your food.  Others cheat you and don't pay the rent. Live alone or live with family. /

if you're a college student, check with your class mates and stuff.

make sure you lay out a couple of rules so that you don't have to cope with his **** later.

eg: no smoking inside, no alcohol, etc..
