  1. dont know your voice... so a lil harder but heres a few of my faves...

    purpose- avenue q

i'm not that smart- 25th annual putnam county spelling bee

it's hard to speak my heart- parade

she cries- songs for a new world

why should i wake up- cabaret

shiksa goddess- the last five years

  2. duet --> yesterday i loved you (once upon a mattress)

solo --> honestly sincere (bye bye birdie)

  3. I love Ladies Choice from Hairspray.  Run and Tell That is awesome too but if you aren't black it might seem weird for you to be singing it.

Or from Chicago, Mr Cellophane is an amazing song.

These are less familiar songs from each of these shows.

  4. Are you a tenor or a bass?  If you like "rock" music there's some stuff from RENT I really love.  They "I'll Cover You" reprise is excellent if you have a decent bass voice.  Of course, depending on how understanding your school is they might not appreciate RENT.

  5. If you want something people haven't heard before, go with something from a great show that few people have seen, such as Assassins, Little Shop of Horrors, or tick, tick...BOOM!

Pick one of your favorite shows that aren't very well-known, and see if you can find any songs that you sing well.
