I really want a higher relevé, but I'm not sure how to get there.

  1. Stretch your metatarsal muscles.

Also, strengthening your calf muscles will help too.

If you stand on a stair with just your toes on it and go on releve and back down, up and down, like thirty times on each foot, it helps.

Do it slowly, feeling the stretch.

I do this stretch in tumbling but I also dance and find that it helps hold myself up on releve.

  2. One of the best ways to improve your arch is a thera band (you can find them at your local dance store)!!!!

Do what the picture shows and also pointe your foot. It'll stretch your arch. Just be careful, some people (like me) that get super crazy high arches tend to start curling their toes under when they point. Just watch out for that as your arch will get higher!!

hope this helps a little :)

  3. there really is no other way to get higher on ur releve than to just to keep doing releves. try doing twenty and then hold  for ten seconds. try it every day increase it when that gets easy. make u stretch after u finish tho
