  1. Hypocrisy can be the result of ignorance, lack of understanding, lack of access to knowledge and education, lack of commitment, and can some times be thought of us if we come into a higher level of understanding and thereby have a complete opposite turnaround in our present thinking as opposed to our former thinking.

For example some of my postings would seem in total contrast and conflict to my stated Christianity. People reading them all would think what is with this guy, sometimes he appears all fired up and firm in his beliefs. Yet at other times he seems uncertain or weak or even in conflict to his beliefs.

There you have it in a nut shell. That is where most of us are at. We strongly believe some things, we totally do not believe other things and there lays an area in the middle of all our personalities where we maybe slightly uncertain or even fluctuate up and down in our uncertainty. This area of uncertainty is however a terrific and fertile place to begin research and exploration into ways all of us in our societies can grow and add to the quality of all human life. It highlights as another contributor has already mentioned that none of us think entirely in terms of black and white. A tremendous amount of accumulated learning and scientific advancement has come out of those who have made discoveries by delving into the grey places of uncertainty. So even hypocrisy can produce positive growth that all of us as a human race needs.

If I were giving you a topic sentence it would be " Hypocrisy the bi-product of uncertainty." Because it is in the areas of uncertainty and indecision in our lives that we are most likely to become or be accused of being hypocritical. A song that is almost a formulae for eradicating hypocrisy, although the song writer may not have had this in mind is: "You gotta accentuate the positives, eliminate the negatives, and don't mess with Mr. In Between. "

I apologise for not being able to look this song lyric up to give full credit to it's writer, but I have limited finances for the moment. I hope I have expressed myself sufficiently to give you some help in your speech. If all of us are honest and able to acknowledge our weaknesses and uncertainties. (Our fallibility and lack of perfection) then each of us have some work to do to stream line or refine our personalities and indeed our thinking and opinions. The challenge is always there for each one of us, don't you think?

  2. Well some people consider the wealth of some churches to be hypocritical, because their religion preaches modesty and frugality while their leaders live in luxury.

Other people point to some democratic societies who support authoritarian regimes (such as China, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia etc) to be hypocritical.

You could also discuss countries that espouse 'free trade', while subsidising their own farmers to make sure they have an unfair advantage.

  3. True sacrifice consists in sharing with others, one's wealth, strength, etc. that have been derived from society. Man becomes immortal by the spirit of sacrifice and not by deeds, progeny or wealth. Man should therefore make an effort to make his life meaningful by sacrificing personal comforts for the sake of society and his fellow beings.but most of us set the guide lines only  for others to follow  the priest and pundits say onething and do somethingelse or don't ever

  4. well, you could open it lightheartedly by standing there eating a burger saying your a vegetarian, after that the pros and cons - the pros ex, people are allowed to changed their minds, they learn, cons ex, people preaching their opinions and then doing the exact opposite

theres a lot to do with it, i'd be able to help more probably if i wasn't just about to go to bed lol so if your questions still there tomorrow, i'll try again :D good luck otherwise and hope this helps xx

  5. I can recall my hubby(who is a Marine) that he was overseas and there was a professed atheist in the unit. The very first firefight he was prayer to Mister Jesus H. Christ like a true believer. Thats hypocrisy at its finest

  6. World of Hypocrisy can lead to destruction  of all human nature

  7. hypocrisy is essential in society because of,..... um yeah I need some more info about ur topic b4 for I can  help with a topic sentence

  8. "I am going to completely honest with all of you.... I (insert some sort of lie)"

This will maybe get the audiences attention and make them understand what your going to talk about< but then again i m not a speech person so its your choice

  9. "The crooked judge who admonishes criminals all day, the secretly g*y Republican congressman who votes against same-s*x marriage, the teacher who cheated on her Grade 12 English exam who fails the student for getting caught cheating, these are hypocrits.  But is hypocrisy always bad?  I'm going to do something surprising and tell you why hypocrisy is essential for our society.

Hypocrits demonstrate that people can change, they show that people don't think in black and white terms - there are always shades of grey, and probably most important of all, when a hypocrit gets caught out, that can effect real change in our society.

Anyone remember Nixon saying "I am not a crook".  That's iconic for a reason ..."

  10. If I said, "I like everything about my education. I would be a hypocrite. I don't like everything about my education, I sometimes find professors (teachers) to be boring and often talk badly about their class or them personally." Hypocrisy is in almost everything we say in our daily lives.

Saying someone looks good while they are laying in a hospital bed with tubes, IV's, and dark circles around their eyes is a must to build morale, but when you leave the room you are heart-broken over how awful they looked, whether they are doing better or not.

That's all I have. Although you could use the religious side of it...the false assumption of an appearance of virtue or religion

Hope it helped some, or at least gave you a good starter.
