Question:

I need a good training regime to get me ready for cross country?

Cross country practice starts on monday 8/18. So pretty much I have 18 days to whip my butt into shape. I mean, i'm in decent shape now, but i'm wondering if anyone knows of any good workout plans?

  1. haha yeah i hate this time. having to start worring about cross country which then means school is coming. grr

    but yeah what im going to do is just get MILEAGE! It doesnt really matter about speed and such, because you will get that from the practicises, so mainly you just need to work on the milage. Since the races are only 3 miles long, that means you should be running at least 3-5 miles and then make every sunday your long run, so do something 5-10. But remember! you dont have to run it fast at all! its just all about the distance and endurance! Cross country is a big sport about enduracnce! and speed will come with races.

  3. 18 days so thats pretty much 3 weeks, just do mileage, run every day, try to start earlier next time if you really want to be serious about running
