  1. If you are happy with your wedges and comfortable with them, then stick with them. Wedges and Putters are two types of clubs that are hard to find replacements if you are really comfortable with the ones you have. But, if you want new wedges, Titleist Vokey Wedges are very good, the new Cleveland zip milled wedges are great at gripping the ball. Depends on your preference.

  2. I want to add to Joseph's answer in an attempt to save you a little more $$$. The Adams Golf Tom Watson wedge set can actually be had @ www.rockbottomgolf.com for $69.99. My dad has this set & he loves it! Good luck!

  3. Some may disagree, but I don't believe that that wedge technology has changed that much in the past few years.  Yes, you have different degrees of bounce but does it really matter to anyone besides pros?  Probably not (and I have a 4.2 index).

The Cleveland 588 is a great wedge.  If you're not happy with hit, you can try the new Clevelands with the Zip grooves or the Titleist Vokey wedges.  If you want them cheap, I recommend buying a used one off Golfsmith or Ebay.  You really can't do too much damage to a wedge, unless it's very used (over several years) or you like hitting concrete.

  4. Except for the putter, your wedges are the most important clubs in your bag.  They can save a stroke or lose one for you from 130 yards and in.  Try several at a demo day, from one or many brands.  Bounce, design, materials, weight, etc. make each one different.  All the top brands make good wedges, but you will want them to be right for you and for the course you play on.  You want to be able to stand over a shot and know that you can hit it. It is only cheap if you really like it, and you use it effectively.

  5. Good and cheap do not go hand in hand as far as golf equipment is concerned.  Both Cleveland and Titleist make good wedges, as far as cheap goes I guess would depend on your perception of cheap.  If you have Clevelands and you are asking this question I am guessing you are looking for a change, I would try Titleist wedges, they are great.

If you want cheap price wise, go to Sports Authority and buy the Tom Watson set, 3 wedges for $100!!
