  1. A rep is one full movement or completion of an exercise.

And a set is how many you do of that particular workout.

And for anyone to answer that question about a good workout plan, I'd need to know your Height your usual body weight, how much you plan on working out, and if your a hard gainer or any easy gainer so you'd know how many calories to take in.

  2. You should get a subscription to a fitness magazine.  To answer your question could literally take a month.

But "sets" are a group of "reps" (or repetitions) of a particular exercise. In one SET, you "curl" a dumbell 12 times (REPS). Or lets say you do a SET of 12 barbell squats. Usually you would do between 3 - 5 sets of an exercise and do 10 - 15 reps each.

    Got it?

  3. reps: amount of times you work it. (ex: 15 jumping jax)

Sets: Amount of time you repeat a rep (ex: doing 15 jumping jax 3 diff times, but taking a few seconds to recoop inbetween before you start again)

  4. Reps are just shorter for "repetitions"

Set's are a set of repetitions.

For example, if I'm doing 3 Set of 8 Rep Bench Press's...I'm doing a total of 24 Repetitions, but I stop at 8....rest for a few minutes....go again.

    Get it?

Only you can find the right workout program for you.

Search google for exercising of all the muscles and develop your own comfortable routine.

    Good luckk!
