My teacher is making me find out the equation to a graph of something important and since global warming is a lie because CO2 levels have been 4 to 5 times higher than they are right know i thought ill do that. But i can't find a graph because i think the goverment censors and regulates the stuff on the internet. (except for p**n of course) and no i don't want any of your dumbass "BUT Al Gore said that ..." i really don't care

  1. Look for Ice core data or sediment data.  Theses may go back that far.  To actually derive and equation, you''l need to to measure a second observable factor that you think there is related.  Usually with golabl warming, this is temperature.  Your doing to have a real hard time figuring out temperatures since they have to ba guessed based on the fossil record.  There might be some ranges published (year and temperature range).  If so, you could be in business.  Use the mid-point of the range (add the hi and low values  and divide by 2).  You can use the highs and lows to try to show the uncertainty if you want. Match temperature midpoints to CO2 concentration midpoints for the time periods you have. Put CO2 concentrations on the x-axis and temperature on the y-axis.  Just make a scatter plot and look for patterns.  You may have a horizontal line (no association), a line running from the origin up as you move right on the x-axis (positive association between CO2 and temperature), or a line sloping down (starts high at the origin and as you move along the x-axis is goes down).  The strength of the association is illustrated by how steep the climb or fall.  None of this shows cause and effect, just a relationship.

You won't be able to derive an equation yet, but you have a start.  The government doesn't regulate this stuff - as you pointed out - they can't even stop p**n.  The stuff that is posted or published is pretty much what exists.  It costs a lot to drill ice cores, sediment sample and fossils to try to figure out CO2 concentrations and temperatures over geologic time.  Not much exist going back that far.

It looks like you are off to a good start to investigate your idea (hypothesis). You are making a basic mistake though - you are trying to twist evidence to make it fit your basic idea instead of answering the basic question "Does the evidence support my idea - yes or no - and then refine your idea.  Think about it a little. You'll figure it out.

  2. You're so stupid man.  Give it up.  Even George Bush knows its really happening.

  3. Hey Bonzi... How come when Bush disagrees with you its "OMFG Bush is such an idiot! I mean, he doesnt agree with me!"

But when he does agree, its "ROFLCAKES!! Even BUSH agrees with me.. What does that say about YOU?!" It means i dont agree with an idiot, and you do.

    Check- and Mate.

  4. but it is true....Al Gore was there...., of course you know it had to be a ladder or point graph. pie chart did not exist...,it would not exist for awhile until john mccain showed up with the circular object.

can you imagine how much refrigeration would be required to keep your brontosaurs steaks frozen.......hmmm

  5. A SURVEY WAS TAKEN BY THE OREGON INSTITUTE AIMED AT 31,000 SCIENTISTS AND ITS BEEN PROVEN THAT GLOBAL WARMING WAS'NT CAUSED BY MAN IN ANYWAY.

  6. Wow I think that is so great, what your doing. Well if you look hard enough you will find them. C02 is actually at record lows, if you look at the history of the Earth, not the past 500years. Look at the past 500 MILLION years and you will see.

    good luck!!

  7. I hate to break it to you, but back when CO2 levels were much higher, the global temperature was also much higher.  You're not proving anything with this argument, except that CO2 and global temperatures are correlated.

  8. This should help: http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/Carbon...

Scroll down to find the graph.

It clearly shows CO2 10 times higher than today during an ice age, 20 times higher than today with temp only 7C warmer than it is now.

**edit And it's typical that if you even ask a question about global warming/climate change you're called stupid or a denier or worse. When I used to debate in school, calling names was a clear sign that one side was clueless, out of ideas and unable to argue their case effectively.
