I need a guy's opinion! and girls! HELP! ?

Question

So there is this guy that I really think I like a lot.

Last year in eighth grade we started texting a lot, but we had never officially met in person or like talked in person.

So now I'm a freshman and he's a sophmore and the first week of school has gone by and we have texted a little but we haven't talked to each other in person.

Now, I'm not saying that he likes me cause I'm totally doubting he does cause there are these two girls that are now in eighth grade and they're like all over him like hugging him and stuff.

I really want to talk to him and I like him a lot, but I'm just really nervous and I don't want to act like those girls do cause I'm not 'like that' if you know what I mean? Haha. So can anyone help?

And we saw eachother at the football game and the after party thing last night and we just kind of ignored eachother. Or at least that's what i did...

confront him and see what he wants and NOT over text messaging! If he really likes you then he will tell you and stop messing around with other girls.  I know its nerve racking to confront a guy about anything intimate but thats the only way to really know how they feel.

its one thing to not throw yourself on him...that shows class...but you have to make sure you show confidience...you have to let him know that you really like him but that you arent gonna kiss the ground he walks on...most guys dont like that anyways...if you guys do text then talk to him and tell him how you feel...if you are worried about whether he likes you or not...ur a freshmen now..so if he says no there are so many more guys out there and you have 4 years to find which one you like and likes you back...but he can never know how you feel unless you tell him and show him...

im in the 9th grade too, and ive had this problem.

in fact i had it last night at the football game too! except he goes to a different school.

but anyways, next time you text him just be like, we should talk to eachother in person.

is sounds weird but it works!

or if you see him and you dont talk, when you text just be like why didnt you say hey to me?

it will get him to talk.

Don't make yourself seem jealous because that will push him away.

You should just randomly text him and be like hey long time no talk how have you been and just from there keep texting him.

And then once you guys are finally in the comfortable position.

Ask to hang out and stuff.

Go up to him and say hey!  Or if you see him, text him something funny and then walk up to him.  It will lighten the mood.

I mean you don't have to walk up and stroke him off, but you should at least talk to him.  Maybe he's shy and only dates girls who take the initiative...that's how I am anyway.

aww, well i guess first off you are gonna have to try and talk to him in person more... i know you may not feel comfortable doing it.. or maybe text him and ask why you guys never talk in person. If you guys have drifted apart over time you gotta remake that bond, and get connected again. Walk up to him in school and be like "hey whats up" start small you don't immediatly have to jump to "OMFG DUDE I LOVE YOU DATE ME!" lol i don't think that would be very effective.. stay in your comfort zone for a while, but know at some point you gotta move outta it

and then, over time. he may start talking to you more, and when he starts ignoring others to talk to you, thaaaats when ya got into his mind and your chances are up lol

Just go up to him. He'll never know u like him if you just start talking. He'll just be like "oh this girl is really friendly". He'll think your interesting b/c your not hanging over him. Your instead having a conversation. Your gonna be the interesting one.

I think he would rather have a high school girl than a little middle school girl. Just go talk to him next time you see him. Stop beating around the bush.
