  1. Well depending on where you are you could take your kid to a school. Generally they have a place to babysit.

  2. I used to belong to Lifetime Fitness, and their childcare was great. I've heard really good things about 24h Fitness, too.

  3. Check the yellow pages of the phone book. Or call some of the fitness centers to see if they have childcare.

  4. YMCA's always have childcares that are free for members to use

  5. Some gyms actually have a "kids gym" when done right they are absolutely amazing.  I have seen these at both YMCA and at a number of privately owned gyms. You are getting your exercise .....why not them too.  I would follow what others have said an go look around your area and call.  I would look for a facility that has child centered large motor activities.  I have seen gyms where its a room that has some puzzles and drawing out with little else.  You get what you pay for.  I would find a gym that is more parent/child friendly where physical space is actually dedicated to large motor activities for children.  Go to the Santa Barbara YMCA website and look at the amazing "kids gym" made out of a converted racquetball court.  I hope you find something like this.  How old is your child?

  6. Lifetime Fitness is the way to go. They have great work-out equipment, swiming pools (indoor, and outdoor) Basketball courts, rock climbing, an child care. The child care area has a mini kids gym, ballpit and tunnels, coloring, computers, books, and toys. it can be pricy, but if you use it it's worth it!

  7. 24 hour fitness has a childcare facility.
